Hi, I’m Shanicka — wife, mom of three beautiful girls, and the heart behind That’s Bible For Kids. My journey into children’s Bible education started right at my own kitchen table. My daughters were my very first students, and from the time they were small, I helped them commit Scripture to memory, planting seeds of God’s Word in their hearts.

But my teaching journey took an unexpected turn when my youngest, Raine, showed signs of a speech delay. At age two, she was diagnosed with Level 3 Autism with Speech Delay. I initially thought teaching her Scripture the way I had with her sisters wouldn’t be possible.

One evening, while working on Psalm 91 with my older daughters, Raegan and Rhian, I clearly heard the Holy Spirit say, “Don’t leave Raine out.” In that moment, God showed me two things:

1. Raine is capable of learning Scripture.

2. I am capable of teaching her.

I asked God to show me how, and He did. I began creating simple, engaging videos to help Raine learn Scripture — and she’s now memorized about five passages! She’s not only learning new words, she’s learning the Word of God.

When I saw the impact these tools had on Raine — and how much they helped her sisters too — I knew they could help many other children. That’s how That’s Bible For Kids was born: a resource to empower parents with practical, engaging tools to teach their children God’s Word.
